mercoledi 13 febbraio alle 16 in Aula Ruffini si svolgerà il seminario dipartimentale dal titolo: Eruptions of CO2 and hydrothermal unrest following the 2015 Gorkha earthquake in Nepal: Perspectives for the coming giant Himalayan earthquake?

Relatore: Frédéric Girault (Universitè de Paris)

Frédéric Girault in breve:
After a PhD in Geophysics on CO2 and radon emission in Nepal and a first postdoc in Physical Volcanology on the modelling of eruptive columns both at IPGP, Frédéric did another postdoc on Rock Mechanics on radon emission near the rupture at ENS Paris. Since 2015, Frédéric is Assistant Professor at Paris University (attached to IPGP), where He continues working on gas and fluid physics and transport properties at hydrothermal systems, with an emphasis on the Nepal hydrothermal systems and their relationship with crustal deformation and earthquakes.
